Create a sign-up sheet
Volunteers, potlucks, meal trains, and nursery rotas - build one in about a minute and share a single short link.
A sign-up sheet is for the times you need people, not tickets: volunteers for an event day, who's bringing what to a potluck, meals for a family, or a nursery rota. It's free, it's separate from your events, and nobody signing up needs an account, a password, or an app.
Build it
- Go to Sign-ups in the sidebar and click New sign-up.
- Pick a template - Volunteer shifts, Potluck, Meal train, or Nursery schedule. Each arrives with its spots already filled in, so you're editing rather than starting from nothing. "Start blank instead" is there if you'd rather.
- Rename the sheet for your event, and use Details to say what the job is, where to show up, and what to bring.
- Edit any spot: change its name, add a detail line, and set how many people you need.
- Click "Publish & get link" - that saves your changes, opens sign-ups, and gives you a short link to share.
What people signing up see
They open your link, pick a spot, and enter their name. Email is optional unless you require it - if they leave it, Regify sends a reminder. You can also let them add a short comment ("bringing a veggie tray"). The spot fills in front of everyone, so two people can't take the same one, and there's a link to withdraw if plans change.
Keep track
Your sheet shows who has claimed each spot and anything they said. Download CSV gives you the whole list. Turn on a reminder so everyone hears from Regify the day before, and a daily summary so you see new sign-ups without checking. When it's over, set the status to Closed - the link keeps working but no new sign-ups come in.
Other options
You can keep a waitlist on full spots so someone withdrawing is replaced automatically, hide who signed up if the list should stay private, require a phone number, or put a password on the sheet and share it separately from the link.
