From a blank page to a full schedule

1. List the spots

Start from a template - volunteer shifts, potluck, meal train, nursery schedule - and edit the items. Set how many people each one needs.

2. Share one link

Post it, text it, put it in the bulletin. Anyone who opens it sees what's still open and who has already signed up.

3. Watch it fill

People claim a spot with just their name. No account, no app, no password reset at 10pm on a Saturday.

The lowest-friction sign-up in the category

Most sign-up tools ask every volunteer for an email address, and many nudge them into making an account. Both cost you sign-ups from exactly the people least likely to push through it. Regify asks for a name and nothing else, unless you decide otherwise.

  • Name-only sign-up - Email is optional and off by default. Turn it on per sheet when you need to send reminders.
  • No account, ever - Nobody claiming a spot creates a login. The link is the whole experience.
  • Nobody over-fills a spot - Capacity is enforced when the claim is saved, so two people can't both take the last slot.
  • Self-serve withdrawal - Everyone gets a private link to pull out, which frees the spot immediately.
  • Comments and quantities - "Bringing a veggie tray." "I'll take two of the four spots." Both built in.
  • Free because it's sponsored - Two sponsor cards in the footer for our own products pay for sheets, so there is no fee, no subscription and no third-party advertising.
  • A real upgrade path - The day a sign-up needs to take money, the same account runs full event registration.

Questions, answered

Are Regify sign-up sheets free?+

Yes. Each sheet carries two small sponsor cards in the footer for our own products, Regify and AttendanceNow - those pay for the free tier, so there is no per-sign-up fee, no subscription, and no third-party advertising. You only ever pay Regify if you go on to run paid event registration, which is 1% + $0.50 per registrant plus standard card processing.

Do volunteers need an account to sign up?+

No. They open the link, type their name, and they're done. No account, no password, and no email address unless you ask for one.

Can I require an email address?+

Yes, per sheet. It's off by default because requiring email costs you sign-ups, and the cost of missing addresses falls on you rather than the volunteer. Turn it on when you need to reach everyone.

What if someone can't make it after all?+

Every person gets a private withdrawal link when they sign up - on the confirmation, and by email if they left an address. Withdrawing frees the spot immediately so someone else can take it. You can also remove anyone yourself.

Can two people take the last spot at the same time?+

No. Capacity is checked when the claim is written, not just when the page loads, so a spot can never be over-filled by a double click or two people signing up in the same second.

Can I use a sign-up sheet to collect money?+

Not on a sheet - that's deliberate, it's what keeps them free and instant. When you need to charge, the same account runs full Regify event registration with tickets, add-ons and payouts to your own Stripe account.

What can I use a sign-up sheet for?+

Volunteer shifts, potlucks and church meals, meal trains, nursery and greeter schedules, parent-teacher conferences, snack schedules, cleanup crews, donation drives - anything where you need N people to claim a spot.
