Terms of Service

Regify is a platform that lets organizers create events, sell tickets and add-ons, collect registrations and payments, and manage attendees. It also offers free sign-up sheets, where an organizer publishes a list of spots - volunteer shifts, potluck items, and the like - that people can claim without creating an account.

Depending on how an organizer sets things up, the Service may also include contact lists they import, email and text messages they send, notifications about events people have asked to follow, and optional features that use AI. We provide the software; organizers are responsible for their own events, sheets, content, and participants.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials secure, and you are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

If you use Regify to run events, you are responsible for:

• Your event content, ticket pricing, descriptions, and schedules.
• Setting and honoring your own refund and cancellation policies.
• Collecting and using attendee information lawfully, including providing any notices and obtaining any consents required by law.
• Any contact list you upload. You confirm you have the right to give us those details and to contact those people, and that you will honor their requests to be removed.
• What your sign-up sheets ask for and who can see them. Names given on a sheet are shown publicly by default; if that is not appropriate for your sheet, use the setting that hides them or the one that puts a password on it.
• Complying with all laws and regulations that apply to your events.

As between you and Regify, you control your attendees' personal information and determine how it is used. Regify processes that information on your behalf to provide the Service.

When you register for an event through Regify, your registration is an agreement between you and the organizer of that event. The organizer, not Regify, is responsible for the event itself and for any refunds. Questions about a specific event should be directed to its organizer, for example with Contact the organizer on the event page.

Regify is not the organizer, host, venue, employer, or sponsor of any event listed on it, and is not the church, camp, school, or other organization running it. We do not select, endorse, supervise, or vet organizers, events, volunteers, staff, or the people who attend. What happens at an event - including safety, supervision, and anyone's conduct - is the organizer's responsibility, not ours.

A sign-up sheet is a free list of spots that people claim with a name, without creating an account. No money changes hands on a sheet.

The organizer who creates a sheet controls it. By default, the names people enter are visible to anyone who can open the sheet, which is the point of a shared list; an organizer who needs something else can hide the names or put a password on the sheet. Choosing the right setting for the sheet, and everything the sheet is used to organize, is the organizer's responsibility.

Anyone who claims a spot gets a private link to withdraw it, which removes their name and re-opens the spot. Deleting a sheet deletes the sign-ups on it.

Payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms. Organizers set their own ticket prices, refund policies, and cancellation policies. Regify charges platform or service fees, which are disclosed before purchase.

Refunding a registration does not return the fees already charged on it. When an organizer issues a refund, the card-processing fee and Regify's platform fee for that transaction are not returned, so the amount the buyer receives back is the ticket price rather than the full amount paid. This is standard for card payments. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable.

Organizers are responsible for chargebacks, payment disputes, refunds, and the costs arising from them on transactions associated with their events, except where the law requires otherwise or we agree otherwise in writing.

Taxes. Organizers are responsible for determining whether any sales, use, entertainment, or other tax applies to what they sell, and for collecting and remitting it. Regify does not calculate, collect, or remit taxes on an organizer's behalf, and prices entered by an organizer are treated as the full amount charged.

If you opt in to text messages, you consent to receive texts from Regify and the relevant event organizer about that event. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help.

If you are an organizer who sends texts through the Service, you are responsible for your message content and for complying with all applicable laws and rules, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA guidelines, and carrier requirements. You may send messages only to recipients who have given valid opt-in consent through the Service, you must honor opt-out requests, and you must not send prohibited content. You are responsible for prepaid messaging credits you purchase; except as required by law, credits are non-refundable and have no cash value.

Regify lets an organizer include waiver or consent text in a registration form and collect a typed or drawn signature for it. We provide the mechanism and keep a record of what was shown, who signed, and when.

We do not provide legal advice, and we do not warrant that any waiver you write is enforceable or sufficient for your purpose. The wording of your waiver, whether it is valid where your event takes place, and whether it covers what you need it to cover are your responsibility. If a waiver matters to your event, have a lawyer review it.

Some features use AI to generate a draft - for example writing an event description from a short prompt, suggesting a structure for a new event, or answering questions about your own data. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading.

Anything generated is a starting point, not a finished product. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting it before you publish it or rely on it, exactly as you would be for text you wrote yourself.

We publish demonstrations of Regify, including a timed sample registration and a sample pastor portal reached from our trade-show cards. Everything inside them is fictitious. The organizations, people, events, approvals, and tickets shown are invented, and nothing you do in a demo creates a registration, a payment, or an obligation for anyone.

A demo illustrates how the Service behaves; it is not a specification of it, and it is not a promise that any particular feature will be available on your plan or will continue to work the same way.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or abusive purpose.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Scrape or harvest data from the Service without our written permission.

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Regify and protected by intellectual-property laws. You retain ownership of the content you submit, and you grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service.

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Stripe for payments, Twilio for text messaging, OpenAI for the AI features described in Section 9, and Cloudflare for bot protection and image storage. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for third-party services. What each of them receives is described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Regify will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Regify from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your events, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

We may add, change, or discontinue features, and we may set or adjust limits on how the Service is used. We will not remove a feature you are relying on mid-event without a way to finish what you started. Nothing here is a promise that a particular feature will exist forever or stay the same.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

What happens to your data and your events. Export anything you want to keep before you close your account - registrations, attendee lists, and orders can all be exported to CSV from the dashboard while you still have access. When an organization's account is closed, we delete its account, events, and registration data as described in our Privacy Policy, except for records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes and records evidencing consent, such as an SMS opt-in or a signed waiver.

Closing or losing access to an account takes down the event pages served under it, so registrations can no longer be taken and existing registrants can no longer look theirs up. Payments already taken settle through your own Stripe account under Stripe's terms, and any refunds you owe your attendees remain your responsibility. Unused prepaid messaging credits are forfeited on termination; except as required by law they are non-refundable and have no cash value.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

We may transfer these Terms, and our rights and obligations under them, to a company that takes over all or part of the Service, for example through a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our written consent. What happens to personal information in that case is described in our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Wisconsin, and you and Regify each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
