Get your own text number
Send from a dedicated number with your own brand at $0.03 per text (vs $0.05 on the shared number). Walk through the one-time $39 activation and carrier approval.
By default your texts send from Regify's shared number. You can instead activate your own dedicated number: messages send at $0.03 each (vs $0.05), under your own A2P brand and sending reputation, so your deliverability isn't affected by anyone else. It's a one-time $39 activation.
Before you start
US carriers require every business that sends texts to register a verified brand and campaign (this is the "A2P 10DLC" rules, meant to stop spam). Regify walks you through it - you'll need your business name, address, and contact details, and for a Standard brand your EIN. The activation flow is fully resumable, so you can stop and pick up where you left off.
The steps
- Go to Settings → SMS credits → Get your own number.
- Fill in your business profile and choose your brand type, then pay the one-time $39 activation.
- Regify submits your brand and campaign to the carriers for verification. This vetting is out of our hands and can take anywhere from minutes to a few days.
- Once your brand is approved, pick your number - search by area code or take the one we suggest.
- When the number goes live, all your event texts automatically send from it at the $0.03 rate.
You'll still buy and spend credit the same way (see "Buy text-message credit") - the only change is the lower per-text rate and that messages come from your own number. If a verification step is rejected, the activation page tells you why and lets you fix and resubmit.
