Prefill answers for returning attendees
On copied or recurring events, a signed-in repeat attendee's previous answers fill in automatically, so they don't re-type everything each time.
For an event you run again each year - or any event you duplicate or run as a series - returning attendees shouldn't have to re-enter the same answers. With prefill on, a signed-in attendee who registered before sees their previous answers already filled in, ready to confirm or tweak.
How it works
Regify matches this year's questions to last year's by meaning, not by internal id, so a field still prefills even if you reworded its label or rebuilt the form when you copied the event. The attendee just reviews and submits.
Turn it on
- Open your event's settings and turn on returning-attendee prefill.
- For a recurring series it's on by default and carries to each new occurrence, so repeat attendees never re-type their answers.
What carries and what doesn't
You control it per field with a carry-forward setting, so you can stop a specific question from prefilling. A few things never carry, by design: tickets and add-ons are always chosen fresh, and consent or waiver fields are always re-affirmed - an agreement from last year shouldn't be assumed this year.
Prefill only applies to attendees who are signed in, so Regify can recognize them from a past registration. First-time and guest registrants simply see the normal blank form.
