Text your attendees (and schedule texts)
Turn on SMS opt-in to collect consent, then write, send, and schedule text blasts to everyone who opted in for your event.
Once people opt in, you can text everyone registered for an event from one screen - a schedule change, a where-to-park reminder, a last call for a session. Texts send from prepaid credit, and every message carries an automatic STOP opt-out to keep you compliant.
Step 1: Collect consent
You can only text people who agreed to receive texts, and consent is per event, so you turn it on in the event itself.
- Open your event and go to its registration-form settings.
- Turn on the phone number field - opt-in needs a phone to text.
- Turn on Text message opt-in. This adds a consent checkbox to your form, and everyone who ticks it becomes textable for this event.
From then on, each new registrant who opts in is added to your recipient list automatically.
Step 2: Open the event's Texts page
From the event, open Text messages. The top of the page shows how many people have opted in and your current credit balance (roughly how many texts that buys). If you haven't added credit yet, see "Buy text-message credit".
Step 3: Write your message
Type your text in the composer. You can personalize it with tokens that fill in per recipient: {{org}}, {{event}}, {{date}}, {{location}}, and {{eventUrl}}. As you type, a live preview shows how many people it will reach, how many segments each text is (about 160 characters per segment), and the total cost - all before you send.
Step 4: Send now or schedule for later
Click Send now to send immediately, or switch on Schedule and pick a future date and time - handy for lining up a morning-of reminder days ahead. Credit is charged when the text actually sends, not when you schedule it, and you can cancel a scheduled text any time before it goes out.
Quiet hours
To respect the rules (and your attendees' sleep), texts don't send overnight - roughly 9pm to 8am in the event's own timezone. If you hit Send now during that window, Regify automatically schedules it for the next morning and tells you exactly when it will go.
See what's scheduled and what's sent
Scheduled texts appear in their own list where you can cancel any of them. Everything already sent shows under Recent texts, and opening one shows its delivery detail. If your credit ever can't cover a scheduled blast, Regify holds it and emails you rather than sending to only some people - top up and it goes out on the next sweep.
